Financial Outcomes
Drive warehouse and logistics network optimization to improve cost-to-serve and overall supply chain efficiency.
Deliver secondary freight savings through route optimization, load consolidation, freight negotiation, and transport productivity initiatives.
Improve warehouse productivity, storage utilization, inventory handling efficiency, and asset utilization across the network.
Identify and implement cost optimization opportunities across warehousing, transportation, and CFA operations.
Support strategic network design decisions balancing service levels, inventory positioning, and logistics costs.
Customer Service
Improve OTIF, fill rates, and service reliability through optimized warehouse and distribution operations.
Design channel-specific fulfillment and warehousing solutions for GT, MT, E-commerce, Quick Commerce, Food Service, and Exports.
Lead seamless CFA transitions, warehouse changeovers, and network redesign initiatives with minimal business disruption.
Establish robust CFA and logistics partner performance management processes to improve service outcomes.
Enhance end-to-end visibility and responsiveness across warehouse and distribution operations.
Internal Processes
Lead implementation and adoption of WMS, TMS, barcoding, and warehouse digitization initiatives across the logistics network.
Standardize warehouse operating procedures, inventory controls, productivity measures, and governance mechanisms.
Drive warehouse layout optimization, flow-path improvement, material handling efficiency, and warehouse engineering initiatives.
Lead cross-functional transformation projects covering network redesign, warehouse modernization, and logistics excellence.
Build data-driven performance management routines and operational dashboards for warehouse and logistics operations
Innovation and Learning
Benchmark warehouse and logistics practices against leading FMCG and global supply chain organizations to identify improvement opportunities.
Evaluate and deploy automation, digital solutions, advanced analytics, and emerging warehousing technologies.
Develop organizational capability in warehouse engineering, network design, transportation excellence, and logistics analytics.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement through lean methodologies, structured problem-solving, and operational excellence initiatives.
Build advanced analytics and scenario-planning capabilities to support network optimization and future supply chain transformation.
What are the Critical success factors for the Role?
Proven ability to lead large-scale warehouse, logistics, and network transformation initiatives delivering measurable cost, service, and productivity improvements.
Strong expertise in supply chain digitization and systems implementation, including WMS, TMS, barcoding, warehouse automation, and analytics-driven decision making.
Ability to drive network optimization and operational excellence, including warehouse design, flow-path optimization, transportation efficiency, and CFA network rationalization.
Strong cross-functional stakeholder management and project execution capability to influence Planning, Manufacturing, Procurement, Sales, Customer Service, Finance, CFA partners, and external service providers.
Data-driven approach to problem solving and business case development, with a strong focus on cost-to-serve, service levels, productivity, and ROI realization.
What are the Desirable success factors for the Role?
Experience in leading FMCG warehousing modernization programs, including greenfield/brownfield warehouse projects and warehouse engineering initiatives.
Exposure to advanced supply chain technologies and automation solutions such as ASRS, robotics, IoT-enabled operations, digital control towers, and AI-driven logistics planning.
Strong commercial acumen with experience in freight procurement, contract negotiations, and logistics partner development.
Capability to build internal Centers of Excellence and develop organizational capability, creating sustainable expertise in warehouse excellence and logistics transformation.
MBA/ B. Tech. with relevant and depth of experience in Warehouse, Logistics & Transportation management & transformation
