Key Responsibilities
Architecture & Design
Provide strategic guidance on database architecture, storage optimization, utilization, and platform selection.
Design secure, scalable, and high-performance database solutions aligned with business requirements.
Develop and maintain database architecture, design standards, and technical documentation.
Ensure database implementations comply with organizational policies, governance standards, and regulatory requirements.
Create data monitoring frameworks and collaborate with business and application teams on new solution releases.
Implement CI/CD practices for database deployments and data platform automation.
Design and enforce cloud-native security controls for AWS database services.
Lead database modernization, migration, capacity planning, upgrades, and scalability initiatives.
Evaluate and recommend future database technologies and platforms.
Database Administration
Install, configure, administer, and support MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Redis environments.
Manage cloud-based and on-premises database solutions.
Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize database performance, availability, and reliability.
Implement backup, recovery, disaster recovery, and business continuity strategies.
Manage database security, user access controls, and compliance requirements.
Collaborate with application development teams on database design, optimization, and performance tuning.
Maintain enterprise data models and ensure data quality standards are met.
Stay updated on emerging database technologies and cloud database service offerings.
Stakeholder Management
Communicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Work closely with cross-functional, onsite, and offshore teams.
Identify risks proactively and recommend remediation strategies.
Support business teams with architecture recommendations and solution improvements.
Mandatory Skills
Strong expertise in Database Architecture and Administration.
Hands-on experience with AWS cloud database services.
Extensive experience with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, MS SQL Server, and Redis.
Strong knowledge of Data Modeling, Data Architecture Frameworks, and Information Classification.
Experience implementing database security, compliance, and governance controls.
Proven expertise in database performance tuning, monitoring, and optimization.
Experience with CI/CD implementation and automation for data platforms.
Strong understanding of disaster recovery, backup, and migration strategies.

Educational Qualifications

Experience Required
10+ years of experience in Data Architecture, Data Modeling, Database Design, Security, Administration, and Performance Engineering.
Proven experience architecting and implementing enterprise-scale solutions in AWS.
Demonstrated ability to design secure, scalable, and resilient database platforms.
Nice to Have
AWS Certified Database Specialty / AWS Solutions Architect Certification.
Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
Exposure to Data Governance and Data Security frameworks.
Experience with large-scale cloud migrations and modernization programs.
