State Street is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Assistant Vice President, Digital Experience Solutions to join the MyStateStreet Digital Experience team. This role will be responsible for designing, developing, and presenting interactive data-driven prototypes that showcase State Street's digital capabilities to prospects and clients.
The successful candidate will leverage a self-service and proprietary report/visualization tool to rapidly create dashboard widgets, visualizations, and end-to-end user experiences that demonstrate business value across custody, investment operations, analytics, reporting, and data solutions. This individual will serve as a critical bridge between Product Management, Engineering, Sales, Client Coverage, and Prospective Clients.
The ideal candidate combines technical proficiency, design thinking, and strong communication skills to transform complex business concepts into compelling client-ready digital experiences.
Key Responsibilities
Digital Experience Prototyping
Design and develop interactive dashboard cards and page experiences.
Create high-fidelity prototypes and proof-of-concepts that support client presentations, sales pursuits, executive demonstrations, and strategic initiatives.
Translate business requirements into intuitive user experiences and data visualizations.
Develop reusable card templates and design patterns that accelerate future solution development.
Collaborate with Product Owners and UX teams to validate concepts prior to engineering investment.
Technical Configuration & Data Integration
Create and maintain complex data queries to power dashboard cards and visualizations.
Design, interpret, and manipulate JSON structures used for card configuration, filtering, metadata, and API integrations.
Configure data sources, variables, parameters, and interactions across dashboard components.
Partner with engineering teams to understand API capabilities, data models, microservices, and integration patterns.
Validate prototype functionality, performance, and user experience prior to stakeholder demonstrations.
User Experience & Design
Develop wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes using Figma and related design tools.
Apply enterprise design system standards to ensure consistency across digital experiences.
Work closely with UX designers to maintain alignment with accessibility, usability, and branding guidelines.
Continuously identify opportunities to improve user workflows and digital interactions.
Client & Sales Engagement
Present prototypes and digital solutions directly to clients, prospects, and senior executives.
Support sales teams during client meetings, RFPs, demonstrations, and strategic pursuits.
Gather client feedback and rapidly iterate on designs and mockups.
Translate technical concepts into business-oriented outcomes and client value propositions.
Act as a trusted advisor during digital solution discussions.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Design, Engineering, or related field.
5+ years of experience in product development, digital experience design, solution consulting, application development, or related disciplines.
Experience designing client-facing digital solutions and prototypes.
Strong understanding of JSON structures and configuration frameworks.
Experience creating, debugging, and optimizing data queries.
Familiarity with REST APIs, microservices architectures, and data integration patterns.
Understanding of Micro Front End (MFE) architecture and component-based application design.
Experience working with agile product and engineering teams.
Strong presentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to engage confidently with clients, prospects, and senior executives.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar design tools.
Experience working with enterprise design systems and component libraries.
Familiarity with React, Angular, or modern front-end frameworks.
Experience building dashboards, reporting solutions, or analytical applications.
Knowledge of financial services, asset servicing, investment operations, or capital markets.
Experience supporting sales pursuits, product demonstrations, or client workshops.
Understanding of data visualization best practices.
Salary Range:
$80,000 - $140,000 Annual
The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
