About the role
Description supplied by the original job listing.
Oracle is seeking a Senior Manager, Supply Chain Engineering to lead the Component Quality Engineering organization supporting Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) hardware platforms.
This management role sits within the Quality organization and is responsible for building and leading the team that manages silicon suppliers and other critical component commodities used across complex AI infrastructure, server, storage, networking, and rack-level hardware products.
The leader will own quality execution across key commodities including GPUs, CPUs, memory, storage, networking, optics, interconnects, power, PCBs, thermal components, and L6 components. This role will connect supplier quality, component engineering, factory quality, field reliability, failure analysis, and root cause and corrective action (RCCA) execution into a clear quality operating model for critical hardware ramps.
This leader will build the team, establish operating discipline, and ensure component quality risks are identified early, effectively contained, and driven to closure with suppliers, sub-tier suppliers, manufacturing partners, and Oracle engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities
Lead the Component Quality Engineering organization responsible for critical silicon and hardware commodities across OCI infrastructure programs.
Build, manage, mentor, and develop a team of component quality engineers.
Own supplier-facing component quality strategy and execution, including supplier metrics, failure trends, RCCA quality, corrective action validation, and escalation management.
Manage quality engagement with silicon and critical commodity suppliers across GPUs, CPUs, memory, storage, networking, optics, interconnects, power, thermal, PCBs, and L6 components.
Drive component-level failure analysis and RCCA coordination for factory, integration, field, RMA, repair, NCAT, and SSP issues.
Establish clear supplier quality expectations, including DPPM, RPM, AFR/RMA performance, MTBF expectations, containment discipline, 8D quality, PCN review rigor, and corrective action effectiveness.
Partner with factory quality, process quality, manufacturing, test, design engineering, sourcing, planning, repair, and field teams to connect component issues to outgoing quality and field reliability risk.
Ensure component quality risks are clearly represented in OK-to-Ramp and OK-to-Ship reviews, including open supplier issues, containment status, test coverage gaps, field exposure, and residual risk.
Create and maintain component quality risk registers for critical programs and suppliers, with clear ownership, due dates, containment status, and decision recommendations.
Support NPI and production-ramp readiness by reviewing qualification data, supplier process controls, PCNs, alternate-source plans, supplier capacity changes, and new technology risks.
Lead cross-functional task forces for high-impact supplier or component quality issues, ensuring clear problem statements, current data, effective containment, and technically credible RCCA.
Provide concise executive-level communication on supplier quality risks, field reliability trends, manufacturing impact, recovery plans, and recommended actions.
Develop engineers to strengthen technical depth, supplier influence, quality judgment, executive communication, and cross-functional leadership.
Required Skills and Experience
Experience leading teams within component quality, supplier quality, hardware quality, reliability engineering, manufacturing quality, or supply chain engineering.
Strong understanding of semiconductor, server, storage, networking, power, thermal, or other high-complexity hardware component quality.
Demonstrated ability to manage suppliers and sub-tier suppliers through containment, failure analysis, RCCA, corrective action validation, and quality improvement.
Strong working knowledge of quality and reliability metrics including DPPM, RPM, AFR, RMA, MTBF, yield, retest rate, failure pareto, and escape risk.
Experience supporting NPI, production ramp, sustaining quality, field failure reduction, supplier escalations, and customer-impacting quality issues.
Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional problem solving across engineering, manufacturing, test, sourcing, planning, repair, field teams, and external suppliers.
