About the role

As a Quality Engineer, you will help maintain quality engineering processes and practices while designing tests, creating test cases, and executing functional, non-functional, and regression test scenarios. You will work closely with product development teams to identify, recreate, and retest issues, ensuring that developed functionality meets requirements and adheres to specifications.
You will engage in storyboarding and solution design sessions, offering valuable analysis and feedback on artifacts produced throughout the development lifecycle. Your role involves establishing and curating comprehensive libraries of test plans and scenarios, ensuring alignment with project requirements and maintaining traceability throughout the development process.
You will conduct thorough quality assurance testing both manually and through automation, developing and maintaining automated regression and performance test scripts to contribute to the efficiency and reliability of testing processes. Additionally, you will methodically track and document test execution results, interpret findings, identify trends, and communicate test status to relevant stakeholders.
Skills And Qualifications
Core Technical Skills
Strong knowledge of Java and object-oriented programming concepts
Hands-on experience with open-source tools for API and UI automation
Experience with test automation frameworks and tools (Selenium, Cypress, JUnit, TestNG)
Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and validation
Knowledge of web technologies and RESTful applications
Experience with browser cookies, URLs, and HTTP methods
Familiarity with CI tools (Jenkins), bug tracking tools (JIRA), and version control (Git)
Qualification Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
Minimum 2-4 Years Of Experience In Quality Engineering
Experience as a test engineer in an agile environment
Programming experience in software engineering or automation roles
Domain knowledge and customer-centric focus with user perspective thinking
Ability to assess non-functional requirements and understand user journeys
