Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled QA Automation Engineer with a strong background in Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) and a focus on API automation. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated test scripts to ensure the quality and reliability of our software products.
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain automated test scripts for API testing using industry-standard tools and frameworks.
Collaborate with development and product teams to understand requirements and create comprehensive test plans.
Execute automated tests and analyze results to identify defects and areas for improvement.
Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on testability and quality aspects of the code.
Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies to enhance overall product quality.
Document test cases, test results, and defects in a clear and concise manner.
Mentor junior QA team members in automation best practices and tools.
Mandatory Skills
Strong experience in API automation testing.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C#, or Python.
Hands-on experience with automation tools like Selenium, Postman, or RestAssured.
Solid understanding of software testing methodologies and best practices.
Experience with CI/CD tools and frameworks.
Preferred Skills
Familiarity with performance testing tools like JMeter or LoadRunner.
Knowledge of cloud services and microservices architecture.
Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
5-7 years of experience in QA automation with a focus on API testing.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
