In this role, you will have the opportunity to ensure the implementation, maintenance, and compliance of the purchasing and logistics-related activities in the Procurement function to support the businesses. Each day, you will execute assigned activities as per ABB standard procedures. You will also showcase your expertise by delivering and participating in training programs as required to ensure compliance and to foster professional development.
The work model for the role is: Hybrid (8 office days per month).
This role is contributing to the Procurement Team in EUOPC (European Operation Center).
You will be mainly accountable for:
Managing the end-to-end PR to PO process for direct and indirect procurement activities in SAP, ensuring timely and accurate purchase order processing in line with business requirements.
Monitoring open purchase orders, following up on order confirmations and Goods Receipts (GR), resolving invoice discrepancies, and ensuring timely payment to suppliers.
Tracking procurement processes and operational performance, maintaining procurement reports, and ensuring accurate material master data and SAP records in compliance with ABB standards.
Executing purchasing and logistics-related changes within your area of responsibility while resolving procurement issues related to cost, quality, and delivery.
Supporting supplier lifecycle activities, including supplier registration, qualification, and first-level escalation management, ensuring effective communication with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
Maintaining SAP procurement data and processes while ensuring transparent collaboration across teams and contributing to efficient procurement operations.
Qualifications for the role:
You are at ease communicating in business English (B2/C1) and Italian (B2/C1), both written and spoken.
You are highly skilled in operational procurement or supply chain management and enjoy working in a dynamic, customer-focused environment.
You have experience in operational procurement or supply chain management, supporting purchasing processes and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders.
Possess an enhanced knowledge of SAP; hands-on experience with SAP Ariba is considered an asset.
You are highly adept in Microsoft Excel, using data to support procurement processes and reporting; advanced Excel skills are an advantage.
You are passionate about customer service and are innovative around teamwork, effective communication, and delivering high-quality results with a proactive approach.
