Job Summary:
We are looking for a hands-on technician for payload assembly, integration, and testing. The primary responsibility is to assemble mechanical, electronic, and camera components of payload systems as per drawings and work instructions.
Key Responsibilities
Mechanical assembly of payload sub-assemblies and complete payloads.
Assembly and installation of cameras, LRF, motors, sensors, electronics, brackets, and covers.
Cable routing, connector mating, and basic harness installation.
Perform basic alignment and fitment checks.
Perform basic functional testing of assembled payloads.
Support engineers during payload integration, testing, and troubleshooting.
Perform secondary workshop activities such as:
Tapping
Drilling
Deburring
Filing
Minor mechanical modifications
Use basic hand tools, torque tools, and measuring instruments.
Maintain assembly quality, cleanliness, and proper handling of precision/optical components.
Record assembly and test observations as required.
Qualification:
ITI / Diploma in Mechanical, Fitter, Electronics, Electrical, Mechatronics, or related field.
Experience:
1–3 years of experience in mechanical/electro-mechanical assembly, preferably in camera payloads, gimbals, EO/IR systems, robotics, or precision equipment.
Required Skills
Good hands-on mechanical assembly skills.
Ability to read basic mechanical drawings and assembly instructions.
Familiarity with hand tools and torque tools.
Basic knowledge of electronics, connectors, and wiring.
Good attention to detail and workmanship.
Comfortable working with precision mechanical and optical components.
