Role Description The CCTV Operator role at Shadowfax is on-site position based at Rajkot DC. The CCTV Operator is responsible for monitoring live and recorded footage from surveillance cameras to ensure safety, security, and compliance within the facility and operational areas. Daily tasks include observing and identifying suspicious activities, reporting incidents to authorized personnel, maintaining accurate logs, and supporting incident investigations by retrieving and preserving video evidence. The role also involves checking camera functionality, coordinating with technical teams for timely repairs, and following established security protocols and escalation procedures. The CCTV Operator works closely with local operations and security teams to help safeguard people, assets, and inventory and to support efficient logistics operations.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong observation skills, attention to detail, and the ability to remain focused during extended monitoring periods.
Candidates should possess basic technical skills related to CCTV systems, including operating surveillance software, managing recordings, and reporting equipment issues.
Candidates should possess clear communication skills to document incidents, prepare basic reports, and coordinate with security, operations, and management teams.
Candidates should possess an understanding of general safety and security practices, incident response procedures, and confidentiality requirements.
Candidates should possess good time management skills, reliability, and the ability to work in shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
Prior experience as a CCTV operator, security control room operator, or in a similar role in logistics, warehousing, or retail environments is beneficial.
A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred; additional certifications in security, surveillance, or safety will be an advantage.
Candidates should be comfortable working on-site in Rajkot and collaborating with a diverse workforce in a fast-paced logistics environment.
