Join Micron as a Fab Support TIQ Equipment Engineer in Boise, ID, where you’ll have the opportunity to work with premier technology and a performance driven team. In this role, you will work closely with various collaborators to implement innovative solutions that keep our PAC equipment performing at its peak and be a part of a great opportunity to ramp a cutting-edge fab.
Responsibilities:
Support equipment install, de-install, safety testing, and release coordination for Pump/Abatement/Chiller (PAC) equipment.
Partner closely with Tool Owners, Facilities, trades, movers, suppliers, FSEs, and PAC collaborators to drive equipment release readiness.
Plan and coordinate equipment installs and de-installs, including isolation, disconnect, removal, relocation, disposition, and facility handoffs.
Build and maintain safety testing schedules aligned to construction achievements and project readiness dates.
Confirm safety testing prerequisites, pinpoint readiness gaps, coordinate interlock testing, and drive closure with multi-functional owners.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering; equivalent military background; or an AAS along with 2+ years of semiconductor industry experience.
Over 2 years of experience in semiconductor equipment installation, removal, facilities coordination, safety testing, or preparing equipment for operation.
Mechanical proficiency, critical thinking and demonstrated ability to problem solve complex tool ownership.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience coordinating equipment de-installs, tool moves, safety release activities, interlock testing, and readiness for key construction achievements.
Familiarity with Equipment Facilitation Forms (EFF), Tool Move Qualification (TMQ) process, PAC turnover documentation, and site safety release requirements.
Strong problem-solving, schedule management, collaborator coordination, and documentation control skills.
AI proficiency or experience using AI-enabled ways of working where applicable to improve efficiency, documentation, coordination, decision-making, and continuous improvement, supporting Micron’s AI transformation.
