In collaboration with senior leadership, the Director sets the vision and agenda for product marketing efforts within the HTV segment, drives returns on all marketing investments (ROI), and serves as the external face of the Samsung HTV category to key hospitality customers, media, and industry partners. This role collaborates with Samsung cross-functional teams (Sales, Supply Chain, Finance, Demand Generation, and HQ) to achieve KPI objectives—including revenue, margin, market share, and profitability—while leveraging deep understanding of hospitality industry dynamics to influence Samsung Korea HQ product planning and development.
Role and Responsibilities
1. End-to-End Go-to-Market Strategy: Define and lead the execution of a comprehensive, GTM strategy for the HTV product portfolio. Ensure alignment of all product marketing activities—forecasting, promotion, sales enablement, and inventory balancing—with Samsung's strategic business direction and goals. Analyze data from forecast roll-ups and actual sales to drive agile business decisions such as pricing modifications and promotional investment adjustments.

Prioritize and coordinate marketing investments across HTV product categories to ensure optimized use of marketing funds. Balance margin contribution across categories to ensure overall profitability, and develop corrective action plans to address shortfalls in sales, inventory, and market share.
3. Strategic Customer Engagement: Represent Samsung as the face of the HTV category to key customers—including hotel chains, hospitality management companies, System Integrators, and distribution resellers. Build and maintain strong, collaborative business relationships to drive brand loyalty and revenue growth. Support sales negotiations on assortment, flooring, product placement, and advertising. Lead customer engagement events and facilitate customer site visits to Samsung Korea to secure product commitment.
4. Samsung HQ Collaboration and Product Roadmap Influence: Establish and nurture relationships of trust and mutual respect with Samsung Korea HQ product planning and R&D teams. Share deep local market insights, competitive intelligence, and hospitality customer/consumer behaviors and preferences to influence current and future HTV product designs and roadmaps. Ensure local sales and marketing stakeholders understand HQ decisions, and that HQ requests are supported with detail and rationale required for effective decision-making.
5. Product Strategy and Cross-Functional Leadership: Serve as the product strategist for the HTV segment, collaborating with Sales (across channel and end user), Supply Chain, Demand Generation, Finance, and Marketing Communications teams to achieve category KPIs. Approve and ensure creation of ATL, BTL, and TTL marketing materials, online assets, collateral, and training. Partner with Samsung PR and event leads in identifying speaking and presentation opportunities at trade shows, media appearances, and promotional events. Ensure sales teams are well-supported in product information, availability dates, promotion collateral, and customer incentive plans.
6. Talent Development and Team Management: Set and execute product marketing talent management plans for the HTV team. Collaborate with HR to define and implement plans for hiring, onboarding, and developing Product Marketing talent. Identify and grow promising talent through coaching, mentoring, and job/project rotation. Manage and develop direct reports to ensure high performance, and conduct salary planning and performance reviews across the organization
