About Marvell
Marvell’s semiconductor solutions are the essential building blocks of the data infrastructure that connects our world. Across enterprise, cloud and AI, and carrier architectures, our innovative technology is enabling new possibilities.
At Marvell, you can affect the arc of individual lives, lift the trajectory of entire industries, and fuel the transformative potential of tomorrow. For those looking to make their mark on purposeful and enduring innovation, above and beyond fleeting trends, Marvell is a place to thrive, learn, and lead.
Your Team, Your Impact
The Custom Cloud Solutions (CCS) Hardware Validation Group is responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of next-generation data center ASIC and SoC products — spanning cloud infrastructure, AI accelerators, network processors, NICs, custom ASICs, SSD controllers, CXL devices, and domain-specific accelerators. Our team owns end-to-end hardware validation, working across the full product lifecycle from early silicon bring-up through system-level qualification. As an intern, you will work alongside experienced engineers in a fully instrumented hardware lab, gaining hands-on exposure to cutting-edge silicon validation across high-speed interfaces and complex platform environments. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to real engineering challenges that directly impact the future of data infrastructure.
What You Can Expect
Assist in functional hardware validation and debug activities for platforms utilizing high-speed interfaces such as PCIe, CXL, and Ethernet
Support system bring-up tasks by running test cases, collecting data, and documenting results under the guidance of senior engineers
Write and execute automation scripts (Python or similar) to streamline silicon testing and validation workflows
Operate standard lab equipment — including logic analyzers and oscilloscopes — to assist with signal integrity analysis and system debugging
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (design, firmware, and validation) to investigate and reproduce hardware or protocol-level issues, and contribute to root-cause analysis
What We're Looking For
Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field with an expected graduation date of Fall 2027 – Summer 2028
Basic understanding of digital logic, computer architecture, or hardware design principles gained through coursework or personal projects
Familiarity with at least one scripting or programming language (Python, C, or similar) for writing test scripts or automating tasks
Ability to work in a hands-on lab environment and a willingness to learn how to use standard lab equipment (e.g., oscilloscopes, logic analyzers)
Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset, with the ability to document findings clearly and work effectively within a team
Preferred Qualifications:
Coursework or project experience related to high-speed interfaces (PCIe, Ethernet, USB, or similar protocols)
Exposure to hardware bring-up, FPGA/ASIC design, or embedded systems through academic projects or internships
Experience with version control tools (e.g., Git) and basic familiarity with Linux/Unix environments
Expected Base Pay Range (USD)
28 - 56, $ per hour.
The successful candidate’s starting base pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location and market conditions. The expected base pay range for this role may be modified based on market conditions.

This role is eligible to participate in Marvell's bonus and equity plans, including a new hire equity grant and annual equity refreshers, ensuring you are rewarded for your contributions and remain invested in the company's long-term success.
