Job Title: Chief of Staff – Business Excellence, Partner Growth & Insights
Location: Delhi/NCR
Reports to: Head – Business Excellence, Partner Growth and Insights
What will you do:
You will be the single point of contact for the Head of Business Excellence, Growth & Insights, working alongside the heads to run the operating rhythm across all three charters – owning the performance narrative, the review cadence, and the analytical backbone that drives decision-making.
The mandate goes well beyond tracking deliverables, timelines and blockers. You are expected to understand the business KPIs and org goals deeply enough to pressure-test them, work shoulder-to-shoulder with the pods across the three functions to ensure they are solving for the same outcomes and convert scattered data into a sharp point of view on what is working, what is not, and where leadership attention should go next.
You will be the Head's thinking partner on strategy and the enforcement layer on execution – translating org goals into charter-level KPIs, running the monthly and weekly review machinery, and holding the org accountable to the actions that come out of it.
Key Responsibilities:
Charter Performance & Business KPI Ownership
Work with the Head to translate org goals into charter-level KPIs and pod-level metrics across Business Excellence, Digital Growth & Campaigns, and Insights.
Build and maintain the single source of truth on how each charter is performing against plan – not just status, but the underlying business drivers behind the movement.
Independently assess charter performance, identify leakages, under-served priorities and capacity mismatches, and bring recommendations to the Head with a defensible data-backed rationale.
Track the linkage between charter activity and business outcomes (acquisition, activation, engagement, retention, revenue, cost efficiency) and call out where effort is not converting into impact.
Review Cadence Design & Execution
Own the design and execution of the monthly, fortnightly and weekly review cadences for all three functions – agenda, pre-reads, data packs, discussion framing and post-review follow-through.
Build the review narrative, not just the deck: lead with the decision to be made, surface the two or three things that actually matter, and pre-empt the questions leadership will ask.
Prepare leadership-grade reviews and business updates for the Head's forums with senior management, ensuring numbers are accurate, reconciled and consistent across sources.
Drive review discipline – ensure pods come prepared, variances are explained, and every review closes with owners, timelines and a clear definition of done.
Analytics, Insights & Storytelling
Independently pull, structure and interrogate data across digital, campaign, business and revenue metrics – you should be comfortable working hands-on rather than routing every question to the analytics pod.
Build and own dashboards, trackers and performance views that give the Head a real-time read on all three charters.
Convert analysis into crisp, board-ready presentations – strong structure, clear assertions, minimal noise.
Run deep dives on business problems that cut across the three functions and land with a recommendation, not just a finding.
Actionable ’s Tracking & Governance
Own the actionable ’s register across all three charters – capture, assign, chase and close, with visibility on completeness and ageing.
Institute a governance rhythm that makes slippage visible early and escalates only what genuinely needs the Head's intervention.
Maintain the operating calendar for the function – planning cycles, AOP inputs, review dates, business commitments and key milestones.
Cross-Pod Orchestration
Work closely with the pods across Business Excellence, Digital Growth & Campaigns and Insights to ensure priorities are aligned, dependencies are surfaced early, and teams are not optimising in silos.
Act as the connective tissue between the three functions and partner teams across product, tech, marketing, distribution and finance.
Facilitate goal-setting, prioritisation and capacity conversations across pods on behalf of the Head.
Strategy & Special Projects
Partner with the Head on strategy – annual and quarterly planning, charter design, business case development and new growth bets.
Drive high-priority strategic projects end-to-end where a dedicated owner is needed, including cross-functional initiatives with no natural home.
Bring in external context – competitive benchmarks, category trends and best practices – to sharpen internal thinking.
Key Outcomes / Success Metrics:
Charter KPIs defined, tracked and delivered against plan across all three functions
Review cadences run on time, with decision-ready inputs and no last-minute scramble
Closure rate and turnaround time on review actionable ‘s
Accuracy, consistency and single-source integrity of business reporting
Leadership decisions enabled by proactive insight rather than reactive reporting
Reduction in manual reporting effort through automation and dashboarding
Improved alignment and reduced duplication of effort across pods
Who you are:
10–15+ years of experience across business excellence, strategy, chief of staff, growth, digital or analytics roles – ideally in a high-velocity consumer internet, fintech or BFSI environment
Strong business acumen – you can read a P&L, understand unit economics, and connect a metric movement to the commercial decision behind it
Hands-on and highly proficient with data and analytics: SQL and/or advanced Excel, BI tools (Power BI / Tableau / Looker), comfortable working with large, messy datasets independently
Exceptional presentation and structured-communication skills – you can build a leadership narrative from a blank slide and defend it in the room
Demonstrated experience running review cadences, performance management rhythms or operating reviews for a large or multi-pod function
Strong stakeholder management and influence without authority – able to drive outcomes through teams that do not report to you
High ownership, bias for action and comfort with ambiguity; equally willing to go deep into detail and zoom out to the strategic picture
Absolute discretion and integrity – you will operate with visibility into sensitive business and people matters
MBA or equivalent analytical/quantitative background preferred
