Role Description The Bima Sakhi Insurance Advisor role at LIC is focused on guiding customers in Surat and nearby areas to choose suitable life insurance and financial products based on their needs and goals. On a day-to-day basis, the advisor identifies prospective clients, explains policy features, provides financial protection planning, and assists customers with documentation and policy servicing. The role includes conducting consultations at LIC offices, customer locations, and remotely, maintaining regular follow-up for renewals and new business, and building long-term relationships with policyholders. This is a hybrid role based in Surat, where some work from home is acceptable, allowing flexibility for client meetings and administrative tasks.
Qualifications
Strong understanding of Insurance products and basic Finance concepts to guide clients on risk protection and savings options.
Consulting skills to assess customer needs, provide personalized recommendations, and support decision-making.
Customer Service skills to handle inquiries, resolve issues, and maintain positive, long-term client relationships.
Clear and empathetic Communication skills for explaining policies, conducting presentations, and interacting with diverse customers.
Ability to work in a hybrid model within Surat, manage schedules independently, and use digital tools (phone, email, messaging apps) for client engagement.
Motivated, goal-oriented mindset with basic sales aptitude; prior experience in insurance, finance, or retail customer service is an advantage.
Minimum educational qualification of higher secondary (12th) or equivalent; familiarity with local languages in Surat is beneficial.
