Role Description This full-time, on-site Customer Service Officer role is based in Chhindwara. The Customer Service Officer will handle customer inquiries at the branch, provide information on bank products and services, and support customers with account opening, transactions, and issue resolution. The role involves managing walk-in customers, responding to phone and email queries, and ensuring timely, accurate, and courteous service. The officer will coordinate with branch and back-office teams to resolve service requests, maintain records, and adhere to bank policies and regulatory guidelines. The position requires consistent follow-up on customer concerns, promoting appropriate banking solutions, and contributing to overall branch service quality and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
Strong customer service and relationship management skills, with the ability to handle queries, complaints, and service requests professionally.
Good communication skills in English and local language, including clear verbal interaction and accurate written documentation.
Basic banking and financial awareness, with the ability to understand bank products, processes, and regulatory requirements.
Proficiency in using computers and branch banking systems, including data entry, email, and standard office applications.
Attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and a disciplined approach to following procedures and maintaining records.
Ability to work on-site in a branch environment, collaborate with team members, and manage time effectively in a customer-facing role.
Preferred qualification: Bachelor’s degree in any discipline; prior experience in banking, financial services, or customer-facing roles is an added advantage.
