Role Description: The Machine Designer will be responsible for designing machinery and components that meet performance, safety, and reliability standards for coating, laminating, printing, and converting applications. Day-to-day tasks include creating and reviewing detailed mechanical designs and technical drawings, selecting materials and components, and collaborating with engineering, production, and quality teams to ensure designs are manufacturable and cost-effective. The role involves integrating automation and control elements where appropriate, performing design calculations and simulations, and supporting continuous improvement and customization projects for client-specific requirements. The machine designer will also prepare design documentation, participate in design reviews, and provide technical support during installation, testing, and commissioning. This is a full-time, on-site role based in the Kalol, Greater Ahmedabad Area.
Key Responsibilities
· Design mechanical components and assemblies using SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
· Prepare detailed 2D manufacturing drawings and 3D models.
· Create and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs).
· Review designs for manufacturability, quality, and cost optimization.
· Coordinate with production, fabrication, and procurement teams during project execution.
· Modify and improve existing machine designs based on project requirements.
· Ensure drawings and documentation comply with company standards.
· Assist in product development, testing, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Skills
· Proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks (Mandatory).
· Basic knowledge of machine design, GD&T, engineering drawings, and manufacturing processes.
· Good understanding of mechanical engineering fundamentals.
· Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
· Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
Eligibility
· Diploma or B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
· 0–3 years of experience in mechanical design.
· Freshers with excellent knowledge of AutoCAD and SolidWorks are encouraged to apply.
Preferred Skills
· Knowledge of sheet metal, fabrication, machining, and assembly design.
· Familiarity with industrial machinery or special-purpose machines (SPM) is an added advantage.
· Basic understanding of ERP/BOM management is preferred.
