Role Description The Research Assistant is a full-time, on-site role based at Ram Poly Clinic in Coimbatore. The person in this role will support clinical and operational research activities, including collecting data from patient records, assisting with surveys or interviews, and maintaining accurate documentation. Day-to-day responsibilities include organizing and entering data into databases, performing basic data checks, and preparing summaries or reports for review by senior clinicians or researchers. The Research Assistant will help with literature searches, support the development of study materials and protocols, and coordinate with clinical staff to ensure that research processes follow ethical and regulatory standards. Collaboration with healthcare professionals, timely communication of findings, and adherence to privacy and confidentiality guidelines are essential parts of this role.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills and Data Analysis abilities to interpret findings and support evidence-based decisions.
Candidates should possess solid Research skills, including literature review, data collection, and documentation of clinical or operational studies.
Candidates should possess effective Communication skills to collaborate with clinic staff, present summaries, and maintain clear records.
Candidates should possess basic Laboratory Skills if involved in sample handling or clinical test support under supervision.
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (such as Life Sciences, Public Health, Healthcare Management, or related discipline) is preferred.
Attention to detail, integrity in handling confidential information, and the ability to follow protocols and regulatory guidelines are essential.
Prior experience in a clinical, academic, or healthcare research setting is an advantage but not mandatory.
Ability to work on-site in Coimbatore, manage multiple tasks, and adapt to a dynamic healthcare environment.
