Role Description The MEP BIM Coordinator is a full-time role based in the Greater Kolkata Area, offered in a hybrid model with a mix of in-office and work-from-home arrangements. The coordinator will manage and oversee MEP Building Information Models, ensuring accurate integration of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems within multidisciplinary project models. Day-to-day responsibilities include coordinating MEP designs with architectural and structural teams, conducting clash detection, resolving coordination issues, and maintaining model integrity and standards. The role involves collaborating with project managers and external stakeholders, preparing and updating BIM documentation, and supporting project delivery across different phases. The MEP BIM Coordinator will also contribute to process improvement, alignment with global BIM standards, and efficient project workflows.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong skills in Building Information Modeling (BIM) and BIM Coordination.
Candidates should possess relevant knowledge in Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems and their integration in BIM environments.
Candidates should possess understanding of Architecture and multidisciplinary design coordination.
Candidates should possess Project Management skills for planning, tracking, and coordinating BIM-related activities.
Proficiency in leading BIM tools (e.g., Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, or similar) and familiarity with clash detection workflows.
Experience in MEP BIM coordination for commercial, residential, or infrastructure projects is highly beneficial.
Strong communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in hybrid teams across locations.
Diploma or degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
