Role Description The Product Design Intern will support the end-to-end design of features within EleFant’s mobile app and overall user experience. This full-time, on-site role in Ahmedabad involves assisting with user research, gathering insights from caregivers and internal stakeholders, and translating findings into wireframes, mockups, and visual assets. The intern will collaborate closely with product, engineering, and marketing teams to refine user flows, improve usability, and maintain design consistency across the platform. Daily tasks include iterating on product concepts, preparing design documentation, and contributing creative ideas that enhance engagement and accessibility for diverse users. The intern will also help test prototypes, incorporate feedback, and ensure that design solutions align with EleFant’s mission of sustainable, child-centric growth.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Product Design and Design Thinking, with the ability to translate problems into user-centered solutions.
Skills in User Research and UX Research to plan, conduct, and synthesize studies that inform product decisions.
Proficiency in Visual Design, including layout, typography, color, and basic design systems for mobile interfaces.
Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Design, Interaction Design, HCI, or a related field.
Familiarity with common design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD or similar).
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team on-site.
Interest in children’s learning, edtech, or consumer apps, and a willingness to learn in a fast-paced startup environment.
