Primary Function / Primary Goals / Objectives :
The Statistical Analyst will review table mockups, CRFs and edit check specifications; work with biostatisticians and clinical staff to generate data tables, figures and listings; write and document programs; perform ad hoc programming; and perform QC tasks.
Major Responsibilities :
Responsible for implementing and maintaining the effectiveness of the quality system.
Perform QC of tables, presentations and reports.
Review CRFs, edit check specifications and table mock-ups.
Assist in creation of table mockups under supervision of statisticians or senior statistical analysts
Generate or validate table programs
Perform adhoc programming with assistance from statisticians or senior statistical analysts
Provide data listing or summary to Data Management for data cleaning
Document programs and specifications
Demonstrate knowledge of SAS data steps, procedures and macros
Be able to use and modify existing macros
Provide accurate and timely answers to routine questions
Communicate an understanding of basic clinical principles for his/her project and acts in accordance with those principles.
Inform supervisor or manager on important issues in a timely manner.
Education / Experience Required :
BS or BA with 3-5 years or MS with 18 months of related work experience
Accountability / Scope :
Position interacts with customers from clinical research. Effective communication with various levels of personnel is required regularly.
Problem Solving :
Position communicates an understanding of clinical trial principles for assigned projects and acts in accordance with those principles; effectively and persuasively presents programming concepts to customers within the project team.
