Role Description The Admissions Counselor internship is a remote role focused on guiding prospective participants through Tillotoma Foundation’s academic programs and initiatives. Day-to-day responsibilities include responding to inquiries, explaining program offerings, and supporting candidates through the application and selection process. The intern will maintain accurate applicant records, coordinate online information sessions, and assist in developing clear, accessible communications about admissions requirements and timelines. The role also involves collaborating with academic and administrative teams to improve the admissions experience, gathering feedback from applicants, and contributing to outreach efforts that enhance program visibility. This internship offers exposure to global education and think tank operations while building professional skills in admissions and student support.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong interpersonal communication and general communication skills to engage effectively with diverse prospective applicants and stakeholders.
Candidates should possess customer service skills to provide timely, respectful, and helpful support throughout the admissions process.
Candidates should possess basic sales and outreach skills to promote programs, articulate value propositions, and encourage suitable candidates to apply.
Candidates should possess education-related skills, including the ability to explain academic offerings clearly and support learners from varied backgrounds.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple inquiries and deadlines in a remote setting.
Proficiency with common digital communication tools (email, video conferencing, spreadsheets) and comfort working in virtual environments.
Demonstrated interest in international relations, diplomacy, or related fields is highly beneficial.
Current enrollment in or recent completion of a degree program in Social Sciences, International Relations, Education, or a related discipline is preferred.
