Role Description The Business Development Manager role is a full-time, on-site position based in Mumbai. This role is responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities, building and maintaining strong relationships with healthcare providers, distributors, and institutional clients, and driving sales growth for BTL’s medical products portfolio. The Business Development Manager will conduct market research, prepare and deliver product presentations and demonstrations, to align business strategies with customer needs. Daily activities include managing pipelines, negotiating and closing deals, tracking sales performance, and preparing regular reports and forecasts. The role also involves participating in industry events, training sessions, and customer engagement initiatives to strengthen BTL’s presence in the region.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong business development and sales skills, including opportunity identification, pipeline management, negotiation, and deal closing.
Candidates should possess customer relationship and communication skills, including stakeholder management, presentation skills, and the ability to explain technical concepts to audiences.
Candidates should possess market analysis and strategic planning skills, including research, data interpretation, and prioritization of target segments.
Candidates should possess organizational and reporting skills, including proficiency with CRM tools, MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), and regular performance tracking.
Candidates should possess knowledge of or strong interest in the healthcare, medical devices, or aesthetic equipment industry.
Relevant bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Bpth, Mpth, Engineering, or a related field; an MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification is an advantage.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and to operate independently with ownership and accountability.
Willingness to travel within the region as required and fluency in English; knowledge of regional languages is a plus.
