Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Accountant role based in Ahmedabad. The Accountant will manage day-to-day accounting operations, including recording transactions, maintaining ledgers, handling accounts payable and receivable, and reconciling bank and cash accounts. The role includes preparing financial statements, assisting with budgeting, monitoring inventory-related financial data, and supporting internal and external audits. The Accountant will ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies, and will collaborate closely with store management and senior leadership to provide timely financial reports and insights.
Qualifications
Strong knowledge of core accounting functions, including general ledger maintenance, accounts payable/receivable, and bank reconciliation.
Ability to prepare and analyze financial statements, assist with budgeting, and support cost and inventory accounting in a retail environment.
Working familiarity with tax compliance, statutory reporting, and basic audit support activities.
Proficiency with accounting software and MS Excel, including use of formulas, spreadsheets, and financial reporting tools.
Attention to detail, strong numerical aptitude, and ability to maintain accurate records under deadlines.
Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams on-site.
Relevant educational background, such as a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
Prior experience in accounting for retail, manufacturing, or distribution businesses in India is an advantage.
