Role Description The Assistant for Patient Care will provide direct support to patients and clinical staff in an on-site setting in Chandigarh, India. This full-time role involves assisting with routine patient care activities, including helping patients with mobility, comfort, and daily needs, as well as supporting clinicians during examinations or procedures. The assistant will observe and report patient conditions, help measure and record vital signs, and maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with facility protocols. Daily responsibilities also include preparing patient areas, ensuring cleanliness and safety, coordinating basic communication between patients and medical staff, and following infection control and confidentiality guidelines. The role requires working closely with nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to support a respectful, safe, and efficient care environment.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Medical Terminology to understand clinical instructions and documentation.
Demonstrated Patient Care and Direct Patient Care skills, including assisting with daily activities and comfort measures.
Effective Communication skills to interact clearly and respectfully with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
Ability to accurately measure, monitor, and document Vital Signs as directed by clinical staff.
Basic knowledge of infection control, hygiene, and safety protocols in a healthcare setting.
Prior experience in a hospital, clinic, or medical practice is preferred.
Relevant certification or training in patient care, nursing assistance, or healthcare support is an advantage.
Capacity to work in shifts, manage time effectively, and perform physically active tasks throughout the day.
