Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Company Secretary / Legal Compliance Executive role based in Chennai. The role involves managing statutory compliances, maintaining company records, and ensuring adherence to applicable corporate, regulatory, and veterinary healthcare laws. Responsibilities include drafting and reviewing legal documents, agreements, and policies, coordinating board and committee meetings, preparing minutes and resolutions, and ensuring timely filings with regulatory authorities. The executive will monitor changes in relevant legislation, advise management on compliance requirements, and help implement best practices in governance and risk management. Daily tasks also include maintaining accurate documentation, coordinating with internal departments and external advisors, and supporting audits and internal control processes.
Qualifications
Strong company secretarial skills, including maintaining statutory registers, preparing board/committee agendas and minutes, and managing corporate filings.
Legal and compliance expertise, with knowledge of corporate law, contracts, regulatory frameworks, and risk management relevant to healthcare or veterinary services.
Document drafting and review abilities, including experience in preparing agreements, policies, notices, resolutions, and formal correspondence.
Organizational and administrative skills, such as records management, deadline tracking, meeting coordination, and meticulous attention to detail.
Communication and stakeholder management skills, including clear written and verbal communication and the ability to work with cross-functional teams and external advisors.
Proficiency in using office productivity tools and basic legal/compliance software or portals for e-filing and documentation.
Relevant professional qualification such as Company Secretary (CS), LL.B., or a degree in Law/Commerce/Business Administration; prior experience in a corporate or healthcare setting is an advantage.
Demonstrated integrity, discretion in handling confidential information, and the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities on-site.
