Role Description The Freight Broker is a full-time, on-site role based in Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar. This role is responsible for sourcing and matching freight loads with carriers, negotiating rates, and ensuring that all shipment details are confirmed and documented accurately. The Freight Broker will manage daily dispatching activities, monitor load status, and proactively resolve any service issues or delays. The role includes maintaining strong relationships with customers and carriers, handling inquiries, and providing regular updates on shipments. The Freight Broker will also manage key accounts, track performance, and coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth logistics operations.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess skills in Freight Brokerage and Brokerage to source loads, negotiate rates, and coordinate shipments effectively.
Candidates should possess strong Customer Service skills to communicate clearly, handle inquiries, and maintain positive relationships with clients and carriers.
Candidates should possess Dispatching skills to assign loads, track movements, and manage real-time logistics updates.
Candidates should possess Account Management skills to oversee client portfolios, monitor performance, and identify opportunities for growth.
Relevant qualifications include strong verbal and written communication skills, proficiency with transportation management or CRM systems, and solid problem-solving abilities.
Prior experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain operations is preferred; a diploma or degree in business, logistics, or a related field is beneficial.
Ability to work on-site full time in Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, and make decisions with attention to detail.
