Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based at Unit-2 works in Chennai for a Production Head (Switchboards) and an EPLAN Designer. The Production Head will oversee end-to-end production activities for switchboards, including planning, scheduling, resource allocation, quality control, and adherence to safety and compliance standards. This role involves coordinating with design, procurement, and project teams, managing shop-floor workflows, optimizing production efficiency, and leading a multidisciplinary team to meet delivery timelines and cost targets. The EPLAN Designer will be responsible for preparing electrical schematics, layouts, and panel designs using EPLAN, ensuring conformity with project specifications, standards, and customer requirements. The EPLAN Designer will collaborate closely with the production and engineering teams to support manufacturability, documentation, and continuous improvement of design and panel-building processes.
Qualifications
Strong production planning and production management skills to oversee switchboard manufacturing and ensure timely, high-quality output.
Operations management capabilities to streamline processes, optimize resource utilization, and maintain safety and compliance on the shop floor.
Team management experience to lead, mentor, and coordinate cross-functional production and design teams effectively.
Budgeting and cost control skills to manage production costs, track project budgets, and support profitability targets.
Proficiency in EPLAN or similar electrical CAD tools, with hands-on experience in designing control panels, switchboards, and electrical schematics.
Good understanding of electrical systems, industrial automation, MCC/PCC panels, VFDs, and relevant IEC/IS standards.
Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline; relevant industry certifications are an advantage.
Ability to work on-site in Chennai, with strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
