WE’RE HIRING | FASHION DESIGN & PRODUCTION INTERN
Maha is looking for a passionate Fashion Design & Production Intern to join our growing team.
This role is for someone who genuinely loves clothing, understands the making of a garment, and wants hands-on experience beyond just creating designs on paper.
What you’ll be doing:
• Assist with day-to-day garment production and sampling
• Coordinate with and assist tailors during stitching and finishing
• Help with small stitching, alterations, finishing and garment-related tasks
• Understand and follow garment measurements and construction details
• Assist with fabric inspection — checking quality, defects, colour, texture and finish
• Assist with trims, embellishments, buttons, zippers and other garment components
• Conduct basic quality checks at different stages of production
• Check finished garments for measurements, stitching, finishing and overall presentation
• Assist in preparing garments for fittings, photoshoots and dispatch
• Maintain sampling and production records
• Help organise fabrics, trims, samples and design references
• Work closely with the founder/design team to bring ideas from concept to finished garment
• Assist with sourcing fabrics, trims and other materials when required
• Be involved in fittings and communicate any required alterations to the tailors
• Keep track of ongoing samples and production pieces
Who we’re looking for:
Someone who is:
✨ Pursuing or has completed a course in Fashion Design / Apparel Design
✨ Comfortable working hands-on with garments
✨ Has a basic understanding of stitching and garment construction
✨ Can communicate confidently with tailors and vendors
✨ Has a good eye for detail and quality
✨ Is organised, responsible and willing to take ownership
✨ Is eager to learn and comfortable working in a fast-moving, growing fashion brand
✨ Most importantly — someone who is willing to get their hands dirty and learn the entire process of making a garment.
This is
a
hands-on internship, not a desk-only design role. You’ll get exposure to the complete journey of a garment — from fabric and design development to sampling, tailoring, fittings, quality checking and final finishing.
