Role Description The Accountant will manage day-to-day financial and accounting activities, ensuring accurate recording of transactions and adherence to applicable standards. Responsibilities include maintaining ledgers, preparing invoices, monitoring accounts payable and receivable, and reconciling bank and cash accounts. The role will also support month-end and year-end closing, assist in preparing financial statements and reports, and help with budgeting and cost tracking. The Accountant will coordinate with internal teams, external auditors, and vendors to resolve queries and ensure timely payments and collections. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Navi Mumbai.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong skills in bookkeeping, ledger management, and transaction recording.
Candidates should possess skills in financial reporting, account reconciliation, and preparation of balance sheets and profit and loss statements.
Candidates should possess skills in accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing, and expense tracking.
Candidates should possess skills in using accounting software (such as Tally, SAP, or similar), spreadsheets, and basic data analysis tools.
Candidates should possess knowledge of applicable accounting standards, taxation basics, and compliance with local regulations.
Candidates should possess strong attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and organizational skills.
Candidates should possess effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams on-site.
Relevant academic qualifications such as a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CA Inter, CMA, or equivalent) are an advantage.
Prior experience in an accounting or finance role within trading, retail, or commercial sectors is preferred.
