Role Description The Facilities Maintenance Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in Hyderabad, responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of building facilities. Day-to-day activities include conducting routine inspections, handling preventive and corrective maintenance tasks, and coordinating with vendors and service providers for specialized work. The role involves troubleshooting building systems, responding to maintenance requests, and performing hands-on tasks in areas such as plumbing, carpentry, and general repairs. The specialist will also maintain maintenance records, follow safety and compliance standards, and support facility upgrades or minor project works as needed. Collaboration with property management, occupants, and other technical staff is key to delivering consistent service quality and minimizing downtime.
Qualifications
Strong skills in Facility Management (FM), including coordinating maintenance activities, managing vendors, and adhering to safety and compliance standards.
Experience in Preventive Maintenance, with the ability to plan, schedule, and execute regular inspections and servicing to reduce equipment failures.
Hands-on Building Maintenance capabilities, including troubleshooting and repair of general building systems and fixtures.
Practical skills in Plumbing, such as diagnosing leaks, maintaining pipework, and ensuring reliable water and drainage systems.
Competence in Carpentry, including routine repairs to doors, windows, furniture, and other structural elements.
Relevant technical diploma or degree in engineering, building services, or a related field; trade certifications in maintenance disciplines are an advantage.
Ability to read and interpret technical documents, maintenance manuals, and basic building drawings.
Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
Good communication skills and the capacity to interact professionally with clients, occupants, and contractors.
Prior experience in commercial or corporate facilities maintenance is preferred.
