JOB DESCRIPTION – FOOD & LABORATORY TECHNICAL
Location: Salasar Plant didwana Kuchman District Rajasthan
Department: Quality Control / Food Technical
Reporting: Plant Head / Management
Experience: 3–7 years in Food Processing, Food Technology, Quality Control, or Food Laboratory
Role
We require a technically competent and strictly result-oriented Food & Laboratory Technical for our Salasar Plant, responsible for quality control and laboratory activities for all food products handled in grain, powder, and liquid forms.
Key Responsibilities
The candidate shall be responsible for incoming raw-material inspection, in-process quality control, finished-product testing, sampling, laboratory analysis, and release of products as per approved specifications.
The candidate shall manage physical, chemical, microbiological, and other applicable testing, maintain accurate laboratory records, test reports, COA documentation, calibration records, specifications, SOPs, and other quality documents.
The candidate shall monitor production processes, identify quality deviations, conduct root-cause analysis, and ensure timely implementation and closure of corrective and preventive actions.
The candidate shall coordinate with Production, Purchase, Stores, Maintenance, R&D, and Management for resolving quality issues and improving product consistency, food safety, and process performance.
The candidate shall ensure compliance with applicable FSSAI requirements, GMP, GHP, HACCP, food-safety procedures, SOPs, and internal quality standards.
The candidate shall handle customer complaints, non-conformities, product rejections, reprocessing, and quality failures with proper investigation and effective corrective action.
The candidate shall ensure proper operation, calibration, verification, maintenance, and control of laboratory instruments, chemicals, reagents, and consumables.
The candidate shall support product trials, process improvement, shelf-life studies, validation, and technical development activities whenever required.
Qualification
The candidate should possess B.Sc./M.Sc. in Food Technology, Food Science, Chemistry, Microbiology, Biotechnology, Dairy Technology, or a relevant technical discipline from a recognized institution.
Practical knowledge of food laboratory testing, quality systems, food safety, and manufacturing processes is essential.
Required Competencies
The candidate must have strong technical knowledge, analytical ability, problem-solving skills, documentation discipline, cross-functional coordination capability, and the ability to independently take appropriate technical action within defined authority.
Result-Oriented Requirement
Only a result-oriented and accountable professional is required. The candidate must focus on identifying problems, finding practical solutions, implementing corrective actions, and achieving measurable results within committed timelines. An excuse-oriented approach will not be acceptable.
Operational challenges, manpower limitations, production pressure, or resource constraints must be accompanied by a practical solution and action plan.
Repeatedly reporting problems without closure, shifting responsibility, or giving excuses for non-performance shall not be acceptable.
Performance will be assessed on quality consistency, testing accuracy and turnaround time, reduction of deviations/rejection/reprocessing, effective CAPA closure, food-safety compliance, complaint resolution, and continuous quality improvement.
