Role Description The Air and Ocean Export Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in New Delhi. This position is responsible for coordinating and executing export shipments via air and sea, including booking cargo space, preparing export documentation, and ensuring compliance with international trade regulations. The specialist will liaise with freight forwarders, carriers, customs brokers, and internal stakeholders to monitor shipment status and resolve any delays or issues. Day-to-day tasks include preparing shipping instructions, verifying invoices and packing lists, maintaining accurate records in export systems, and tracking shipments until final delivery. The role also involves cost optimization, supporting rate negotiations, and providing regular export status updates to the sales and operations teams.
Qualifications
Export operations skills, including air and ocean freight coordination, shipment tracking, and documentation handling.
Knowledge of international trade regulations, incoterms, customs procedures, and compliance standards.
Effective communication and collaboration abilities to work with carriers, forwarders, customs brokers, and internal teams.
Strong organizational and time-management skills, with attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple shipments simultaneously.
Problem-solving skills for addressing operational issues, shipment delays, and cost or service discrepancies.
Prior experience in export logistics, freight forwarding, or international supply chain; cosmetics or FMCG industry experience is an advantage.
Relevant diploma or degree in logistics, supply chain, international business, or a related field.
