Role Description This is an full time role for a Frappe / ERPNext Developer in a hybrid work arrangement, based in Gurgaon with major flexibility for work from home. The developer will assist in configuring, customizing, and maintaining ERPNext modules to support the organization’s operational and program needs. Day-to-day tasks include developing custom scripts, reports, and workflows, integrating ERPNext with other tools, and troubleshooting system issues. The role involves collaborating with program, finance, and operations teams to understand requirements and translate them into efficient ERPNext solutions. The intern will also help document configurations, support user training, and contribute to improving system performance and data quality.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Python and JavaScript, with the ability to develop and customize applications in the Frappe framework and ERPNext.
Experience (academic or project-based) with database concepts, preferably MariaDB/MySQL, and basic understanding of REST APIs or web services.
Familiarity with ERPNext configuration (doctype creation, reports, workflows, roles and permissions) and comfort working with Linux-based environments and Git version control.
Ability to gather requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and document solutions clearly for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a youth-led, mission-driven team.
Interest in sustainable development, climate action, or nonprofit operations; prior exposure to social impact projects is a plus.
Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Good written and verbal communication skills in English; comfort communicating in a multicultural, inclusive environment.
