Role Description The Duty Doctor will provide continuous medical care to inpatients and outpatients, ensuring prompt assessment, diagnosis, and management of neurological and general medical conditions. Daily responsibilities include conducting patient rounds, monitoring vital signs and clinical progress, documenting findings, and updating treatment plans under the guidance of senior consultants and neurologists. The role involves responding to emergencies, coordinating with nursing and allied health staff, ordering and reviewing investigations, and ensuring accurate and timely medical records. The Duty Doctor will also counsel patients and caregivers on diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up plans, while supporting adherence to hospital protocols and infection control standards. This is a full-time, on-site role based at Jaya Aditya Neuro Care in Nandyal.
Qualifications
Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) from a recognized institution; valid registration with the appropriate medical council.
Experience in hospital-based practice, preferably with exposure to neurology, emergency medicine, or internal medicine.
Strong clinical assessment skills, including history taking, physical examination, and interpretation of basic investigations.
Ability to manage common medical and neurological emergencies under supervision and follow established clinical protocols.
Clear and compassionate communication skills for interacting with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
Commitment to ethical practice, patient safety, accurate documentation, and confidentiality.
Willingness to work in shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as required for continuous patient care.
Interest in ongoing professional development, openness to feedback, and readiness to learn from senior specialists.
