Role Description This is an on-site internship role based in Maharashtra, India, within the Founders Office at PuroFarms™. The intern will support the founders with daily operational tasks, including data collection and analysis related to biochar projects, farmer outreach, and documentation of field activities. Responsibilities include preparing presentations and reports, assisting in project planning and tracking, and coordinating with internal teams and external partners such as farmers and FPOs. The role also involves researching climate-tech, regenerative agriculture, and carbon markets, and summarizing insights for strategic decision-making. The intern may contribute to process improvements, basic financial or impact reporting, and administrative support for meetings, visits, and stakeholder engagements.
Qualifications
Strong analytical and research abilities, with capacity to interpret data and prepare clear summaries and reports.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for internal coordination, stakeholder communication, and presentation development.
Interest in climate-tech, regenerative agriculture, carbon markets, or rural development; prior exposure to these areas is an advantage.
Ability to work in on-site settings in rural or semi-urban locations in Maharashtra, with adaptability to field visits and farmer interactions.
Proficiency in basic productivity tools (e.g., spreadsheets, slide decks, documentation tools) and comfort with digital platforms for monitoring and reporting.
Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, early-stage environment.
Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in agriculture, environmental science, engineering, business, economics, or a related field.
Knowledge of local languages spoken in Maharashtra is a plus, along with prior experience working with communities, FPOs, or field projects.
