Role Description This full-time, on-site Vascular Surgeon role is based at Swasthyam Superspeciality Hospital in Nagpur. The Vascular Surgeon will provide specialised care for patients with blood vessel and circulatory conditions, including evaluation, diagnosis, and management of both elective and emergency cases. Daily responsibilities include performing vascular surgeries and minimally invasive procedures in the operating room, collaborating with cardiology and other specialties, and participating in multidisciplinary case discussions. The role involves pre-operative and post-operative patient management, reviewing diagnostic imaging and test results, and ensuring adherence to clinical protocols and safety standards. The Vascular Surgeon will also contribute to quality improvement initiatives, clinical documentation, and patient and family education to support optimal outcomes.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Medicine with experience in managing complex medical and surgical patients.
Clinical expertise in Vascular Surgery, including open and endovascular procedures for a range of vascular conditions.
Advanced skills in Vascular diagnostics and treatment planning, including interpretation of imaging and non-invasive vascular studies.
Proficiency in Operating Room practices, including sterile technique, perioperative management, and collaboration with surgical teams.
Ability to work closely with Cardiology and other specialties in managing cardiovascular and multi-system conditions.
Recognized medical degree (MBBS) with MS/MD and MCh/DNB or equivalent specialization in Vascular Surgery.
Valid medical registration and eligibility to practice as a specialist surgeon as per local regulatory requirements.
Strong clinical decision-making, communication, and teamwork skills, with a commitment to patient-centric care.
Experience in a multi-specialty or tertiary care hospital setting is preferred.
Willingness to participate in emergency coverage, continuing medical education, and hospital quality initiatives.
