Role Description The Cinema General Manager is a full-time, on-site leadership role based in Mumbai, responsible for overseeing all aspects of cinema operations. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing staff scheduling and performance, ensuring excellent guest service, monitoring ticketing and concessions, and maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. The role involves tracking financial performance, optimizing revenue, controlling costs, and ensuring compliance with company policies and local regulations. The General Manager coordinates with marketing and events teams to support promotions, special screenings, and community engagement activities. This role also focuses on training team members, resolving operational issues quickly, and upholding CineVera’s standards for luxury and entertainment.
Qualifications
Experience in cinema, hospitality, retail, or entertainment management with strong operational oversight skills.
Proficiency in staff leadership, team building, performance management, and scheduling.
Ability to manage budgeting, cost control, revenue tracking, and basic financial reporting.
Strong customer service skills, including conflict resolution and maintaining high guest satisfaction.
Comfort with using point-of-sale systems, ticketing platforms, and basic office software.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams.
Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and safety standards.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Hospitality Management, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by cinema operations.
