Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Accountant role based in Rohtak. The Accountant will manage day-to-day financial transactions, including recording entries, maintaining ledgers, and reconciling bank statements. The role involves preparing and reviewing invoices, tracking payments to suppliers and subcontractors, and ensuring proper documentation for all expenses and revenues. The Accountant will assist in preparing monthly and annual financial reports, supporting budgeting, cost estimation, and project-wise expense tracking. The position also includes handling basic taxation and compliance-related documentation, coordinating with external auditors or consultants, and collaborating with site and office teams to ensure accurate and timely financial information.
Qualifications
Strong knowledge of basic accounting principles, bookkeeping, and financial reporting.
Proficiency in accounting software (such as Tally or similar tools) and MS Excel for data entry and analysis.
Ability to manage accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and cash flow tracking.
Understanding of taxation, statutory compliance, and documentation relevant to construction or contracting businesses.
Excellent numerical accuracy, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with project and site teams.
Prior experience in accounting, preferably in construction, contracting, or a project-based environment.
Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
