This position is for the Alexa Echo Show Home team, which owns the face of the device through the home screen, being one of the most monetised surfaces on EFD. Home, coupled with Alexa+ agent (proactive and persistent content in ambient state) is the springboard for all of the interaction points from Echo Show devices. Successful candidates will be able to lead by example, balancing their technical depth with customer-focused acumen to deliver products which delight our customers. As a software engineer in the Alexa Devices team, you will help drive innovation by developing features that present innovative speech-backed visuals on our Echo Show, Echo Spot, and similar screened Alexa devices.
The Alexa Echo Show Composable Experience Platform team owns the device and cloud-side stacks for the application that manages the visual runtime experience on Echo Show devices. Our rendering platform powers React Native-based experiences across different Echo Show devices, delivering seamless Home screen and Conversational experiences to millions of customers worldwide.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for developing and maintaining new systems, partnering with other Amazon and third-party services and device teams as required.
You will ensure that Alexa rarely drops her end of the conversation, delivering services that respond with minimal latency at Amazon scale.
