Android System Engineer

We are looking for a strong Android System Engineer with deep expertise in Android internals, system-level architecture, and security concepts. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with AOSP, system services, and Android security mechanisms, along with a solid understanding of malware behaviour and OS fundamentals.
Responsibilities:
Work on Android system-level development (AOSP) and customisation.
Understand and contribute to core Android internals, including: App lifecycle, App process spawning, Zygote forking model.
Analyse and implement Android security mechanisms.
Work on malware analysis/detection techniques, including: Dynamic code loading (DEX), Runtime behaviour analysis.
Debug and troubleshoot system-level issues involving: Binder, system_server, SystemUI.
Work with rooted Android environments for debugging and analysis.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams for system-level integrations.
Requirements:
Strong understanding of:
Android app lifecycle.
Zygote process and forking model.
App spawning and process management.
Hands-on experience with AOSP and system services.
System-Level Components:
Strong knowledge of:
Binder IPC
system_server
SystemUI
Experience in system-level debugging
Security and Malware (Critical Requirement)
Understanding of:
Android security architecture.
Malware behaviour and analysis.
Dynamic code loading (DEX).
Experience with security-focused Android development or analysis.
OS Fundamentals:
Strong understanding of:
Operating system concepts (processes, memory, IPC).
Linux/Android kernel basics.
Tools and Debugging:
Experience with:
Rooted Android devices.
Debugging tools (ADB, logcat, trace tools).
System-level troubleshooting.
Good to Have:
Experience in reverse engineering/security research.
Exposure to Android framework modifications.
Knowledge of native components (C/C++).
