About the role
Description supplied by the original job listing.
You will join a team building Bolt's leading checkout and payments products. These systems let businesses accept payments from shoppers, handle payouts to sellers and stay compliant while doing it. You will ramp up on Bolt's platform and associated technology stack, and own real feature development - open PRs(with automated tests), build monitors and ship code to production.
Responsibilities:
Full Stack Development: Ship features end-to-end with React in the frontend and Golang in the backend. Use LLMs to build features that work well within a well-defined scope. Add and maintain REST/GraphQL endpoints and shopper/merchant facing screens.
Work with Data: Design schemas and write queries in PostgreSQL, and learn how to keep data consistent across services.
Work Within Payment Compliance: Ship code aligned with PCI DSS, AML, and Know Your Customer (KYC) standards; and contribute to fraud prevention and tokenisation work.
Observability: Use Datadog for service health, logging, and alerting to maintain visibility and performance across payment systems.
Requirements:
Graduating in 2026 or graduated within the past 12 months.
At least one full-stack project you can demo and talk through: a frontend, a backend and a database deployed somewhere we can access.
Working knowledge of React or a similar component framework.
Proficiency in at least one backend language (Go, Nodejs, Python, Java or similar) and genuine interest in writing in Go.
Comfortable with SQL and relational database concepts.
Git fluency and ability to read and extend a codebase you didn't write.
Ability to do clear written communication, as the team is remote and async.
Nice to Have:
Any exposure to Kubernetes, AWS, or GCP cloud environments.
Curiosity about fintech and payments (PCI, PSD2 SOC 2 etc. )
Familiarity with event-driven architecture (Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc. )
Open-source contributions, a technical bloc or anything else that shows your work in public.
Experience
0-3 yrs
