Head of Engineering

We are looking for an accomplished Head of Engineering to lead our engineering organisation and drive the development of scalable, secure, and high-performance technology platforms. The ideal candidate will combine exceptional technical expertise with strong leadership capabilities and have strong hands-on experience building enterprise-grade applications using React.js, NET, and Azure/GCP. This role requires a visionary engineering leader who can define technology strategy, mentor engineering teams, collaborate with product and business stakeholders, and ensure the successful delivery of innovative digital products.
Responsibilities:
Define and execute the engineering strategy aligned with business goals.
Lead, mentor, and scale multiple engineering teams across frontend, backend, and cloud technologies.
Drive the architecture, design, and development of enterprise-grade applications.
Provide hands-on technical leadership in React.js,. NET/. NET Core, and Azure/GCP.
Build scalable cloud-native applications using modern engineering practices.
Establish engineering standards, architecture governance, code quality, and development best practices.
Drive Agile methodologies, DevOps culture, and CI/CD implementation.
Collaborate closely with Product, QA, DevOps, Security, and Business stakeholders.
Lead cloud transformation and modernisation initiatives.
Ensure application security, scalability, performance, and reliability.
Recruit, mentor, and develop high-performing engineering teams.
Drive innovation, technical excellence, and continuous improvement across the organisation.
Requirements:
Mandatory Skills: React.js, NET /. NET Core, ASP. NET Core, C#, Azure or Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Microservices, REST APIs, System Design, Distributed Systems, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, Azure DevOps / GitHub Actions, SQL & NoSQL Databases.
Preferred Skills: Event-Driven Architecture, Kafka / RabbitMQ / Azure Service Bus, Redis, Terraform, Observability & Monitoring, AI/ML integration, Enterprise Architecture, SaaS Product Development.
Desired Experience:
12-16 years of overall software engineering experience.
4+ years of experience in engineering leadership roles such as Engineering Manager, Senior Engineering Manager, Associate Director, Director of Engineering, or Head of Engineering.
Strong hands-on expertise in React.js, NET/. NET Core, and Azure/GCP.
Proven experience building and scaling cloud-native, enterprise-grade applications.
Experience driving engineering best practices, architecture decisions, and digital transformation initiatives.
Strong understanding of Agile, DevOps, CI/CD, and modern software development practices.
Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
