Responsibilities:
70% Technical Execution (IC): Architect and build Node.js / TypeScript microservices and GraphQL APIs using Apollo and Express. Optimise multi-tenant database models with PostgreSQL and Prisma 7
Integrations and Cloud: Build resilient third-party integrations (Stripe, Twilio, SendGrid, HubSpot, pharmacy APIs) and design event-driven workflows using GCP Pub/Sub, Cloud Functions, and App Engine Cron.
Full-Stack Feature Ownership: Wire backend systems with our Vue 3 / Apollo frontend to ship end-to-end features seamlessly.
30% People Leadership: Mentor engineers, conduct design reviews, drive technical architecture, and establish engineering standards across the team.
Requirements:
Experience: 4-5+ years in backend or full-stack engineering with a history of owning production systems.
Background: Proven track record in fast-paced Startups, Product-based SaaS companies, FinTech, InsurTech, or Healthcare domains.
Tech Stack: Expert in Node.js, TypeScript, GraphQL/REST, and relational databases (PostgreSQL, Prisma).
Cloud and Auth: Strong experience with GCP (or AWS/Azure transferable), event-driven queues, and RBAC/security mechanisms.
Frontend Basics: Working knowledge of Vue 3 or React to deliver complete features.
Leadership Skills: Track record of mentoring team members, managing deliverables, and leading technical design.
Nice to Have:
Experience with GCP native services (Pub/Sub, BigQuery, Document AI).
Healthcare compliance knowledge (HIPAA, EHR/Pharmacy APIs).
Familiarity with AI/LLM integrations (Claude, OpenAI, Vector DBs).
