Senior Core Engineer

Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and maintain robust backend services using Python. Build RESTful APIs and integrate with frontend applications.
Effectively break down and solve complex problems that require research or collaboration.
Communicate effectively, regardless of medium, audience, or timing.
Strong command of multiple levels of automated testing (e. g., unit, integration, contract, end-to-end, etc. ).
Mentor new and less-experienced team members.
Initiate design and feature discussions, advocating for improvements in software performance, scalability, reliability, and security.
Work with databases (SQL and NoSQL) and caching mechanisms.
Write automated tests and support CI/CD pipelines.
Coordinate with other teams to ensure the successful integration of software applications.
Troubleshoot and resolve production incidents quickly and effectively.
Understand, respond to, and address customer needs and issues with empathy and timeliness.
Design and lead the development of scalable backend systems, mentor a team of engineers, and drive technical excellence across our backend architecture.
Responsible for translating business requirements into high-quality technical solutions, ensuring reliability, performance, and security in production systems.
Manage sprint planning, task prioritisation, and delivery timelines.
Collaborate with product managers, architects, and DevOps teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
Any other reasonable activity required by management.
Requirements:
Min 7 years of experience in backend development with Python. (C++ Good to have).
Solid understanding of object-oriented programming and design patterns.
Strong knowledge of Python frameworks like Django, Flask, or FastAPI.
Proficiency in building RESTful APIs and web services.
Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Redis, etc. ).
Experience with message brokers (RabbitMQ, Kafka, Celery) is a plus.
Knowledge of authentication, authorisation, and security best practices.
Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
Experience with version control (Git) and collaborative workflows.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
Deep knowledge of software methodologies, tools, and typical architectural patterns.
Degree in Computer Science or related field.
7+ years of software development experience.
