About the role
Description supplied by the original job listing.
We're looking for an Associate Full Stack Engineer at the start of their career someone who has built a few things (in an internship, at a first job, or through serious side projects) and is ready to grow fast in a real product environment. You'll work across the stack: React on the front end, Node.js on the back end, and a real database underneath, alongside senior engineers who'll review your code, pair on tricky problems, and help you level up. We're not looking for someone who has done it all. We're looking for someone who is genuinely curious, writes thoughtful code, and wants to ship features users actually rely on.
Responsibilities:
Build and maintain features in our web application using React.js on the front end and Node.js / Express on the back end, with guidance from senior engineers on architecture and design decisions.
Help design and develop RESTful APIs, learning what makes them clean, scalable, and secure.
Work with our databases (MongoDB and PostgreSQL/MySQL), writing queries, modelling data, and learning when to reach for which.
Get hands-on with AWS (EC2 S3 Lambda, RDS) as part of day-to-day development and deployment.
Take part in product and design discussions; your perspective matters, even early on.
Write clean, testable code and participate in code reviews (both giving and receiving feedback).
Help troubleshoot issues, debug production bugs, and contribute to making the system more reliable over time.
Requirements:
Around 1 year of hands-on full-stack development experience; internships, a first job, or a mix of both all count.
Working proficiency in React.js ; comfortable with components, hooks, props/state, and building real UIs (not just tutorial projects).
Solid fundamentals in Node.js and experience building or consuming REST APIs.
Familiarity with at least one database (MongoDB, PostgreSQL, or MySQL) where you can write basic queries and understand how data is structured.
Some exposure to AWS or any cloud provider; even deploying a personal project counts.
Strong fundamentals in JavaScript, Git, and debugging.
Nice-to-Have:
Curiosity about AI/ML: you don't need production experience, but if you've experimented with LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc. ), built something with them for a hackathon or side project, or simply enjoy exploring the space, tell us about it.
Exposure to TypeScript or Next.js .
Familiarity with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, or basic deployment workflows.
Understanding of authentication patterns (JWT, OAuth) and basic web security concepts.
A visible portfolio: GitHub contributions, side projects, hackathon work, or open- source contributions.
Experience
3-6 yrs
