We are looking for a DevOps Production Support Engineer (AWS) to support and operate solutions within a regulated banking environment. The role focuses on ensuring high availability, resilience, compliance, and risk management of systems that support critical banking services.
Responsibilities:
Provide L2/L3 production support for systems and data pipelines used in banking systems.
Ensure stability and uptime of platforms supporting customer-facing and regulatory workloads.
Perform incident management, root cause analysis (RCA), and problem management in line with ITIL practices.
Collaborate with Engineering, Risk, and Compliance teams.
Support secure deployment, release, and rollback processes in production.
Implement monitoring, alerting, and audit logging to meet regulatory and audit requirements.
Ensure adherence to data privacy, governance, and financial regulatory standards (e. g., GDPR).
Support disaster recovery (DR) and business continuity (BCP) plans.
Identify opportunities for automation, operational efficiency, and cost optimization.
Requirements:
Experience in production support / SRE / platform engineering, preferably in banking or financial services.
Experience with AWS cloud services, including AWS SageMaker, EC2 EKS, Lambda, S3 and AuroraDB.
Proficiency in Python and scripting for debugging and automation.
Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and microservices architectures.
Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as AWS CloudWatch, CloudTrail, Grafana, and Splunk.
Experience with data integration and processing technologies such as Kafka and AWS Glue.
Experience working with REST APIs.
Experience with incident management tools (e. g., ServiceNow).
Familiarity with security standards and identity and access management (IAM).
Willingness to work in a production support role.
Nice to have:
Knowledge of secure DevOps (DevSecOps) practices.
Relevant AWS certifications.
Technology stack:
Cloud and AI Platforms (AWS): AWS SageMaker, EC2 EKS (Elastic Kubernetes Service), Lambda, S3 Aurora DB.
Monitoring and Observability: AWS CloudWatch / CloudTrail, Grafana, Splunk.
Data and Integration: Kafka, AWS Glue, REST APIs.
