Security Analyst

The candidate needs to have a strong technical software and network security background. As a Security analyst, you will be involved in identifying and addressing security vulnerabilities across various products. This position requires working with different stakeholders throughout the product development lifecycle - manual code reviews, developing in-house security assessment tools, and working with developers in finding and fixing security vulnerabilities
Responsibilities:
Build scripts/ automation tools to identify security vulnerabilities across Planet's products or services.
Ability to work effectively in situations involving uncertainty or lack of information, respond favourably, and able to achieve goals working with others across teams and organisations.
Drive processes and systems to support the success of Planet's products.
Requirements:
Candidates must have a solid technical background, knowledge of security concepts and experience leading or taking part in projects.
Hands-on experience with penetration testing and security assessment tools like Zeek, Burp Suite, Wireshark, Drozer, Nmap, etc.
Experience in Python or JavaScript.
Should have experience working with Static code analysis tools (SAST), could be any of Checkmarx, GitHub SAST scanners, Synopsys Coverity, etc.
Knowledge of Operating systems internals, UNIX and TCP/ IP fundamentals.
Strong familiarity with OWASP top 10 web vulnerabilities and mitigation techniques.
Experience working with cloud computing platforms like GCP and AWS is a bonus.
Good to Have:
Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline with a focus on information security.
3-5 years of experience in an information security role.
Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
