Secure Communication Architect

We are looking for an experienced Secure Communication Architect to design and develop highly secure communication systems for mission-critical applications. The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in secure networking protocols, VPN technologies, cryptographic implementations, and systems programming using C/C++. The role requires hands-on experience in designing secure communication architectures that meet enterprise and defence-grade security standards.
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain secure communication architectures for distributed systems.
Architect and implement secure network communication using IPSec, VPN, SSL/TLS, and related security protocols.
Develop high-performance networking applications using C and C++.
Design secure key management, authentication, and encryption mechanisms.
Implement and optimise secure communication protocols across Linux-based platforms.
Collaborate with software, networking, and cybersecurity teams to build end-to-end secure solutions.
Perform security architecture reviews, threat modelling, and risk assessments.
Troubleshoot complex networking and security issues across enterprise environments.
Ensure compliance with industry security standards and best practices.
Optimise communication systems for performance, scalability, reliability, and security.
Prepare architecture documentation, technical specifications, and design guidelines.
Mentor engineering teams on secure coding practices and network security principles.
Requirements:
Education: B. Tech/M. Tech in Computer Science, Electronics, Information Security, or a related field from a Tier-1 institute (IIT, NIT, IIIT, BITS Pilani, or equivalent)
8+ years of experience in secure communication systems and network security.
Proven experience designing secure networking solutions using IPSec and VPN technologies.
Strong proficiency in C/C++ programming for networking applications.
Experience building scalable, high-performance, and security-focused communication platforms.
Passion for cybersecurity, secure architecture, and cutting-edge communication technologies.
Strong expertise in network security concepts.
Hands-on experience with IPSec, VPN, SSL/TLS, and secure communication protocols.
Strong programming skills in C and C++.
Deep understanding of TCP/IP networking, routing, switching, sockets, and packet analysis.
Experience with Linux system programming and multithreaded application development.
Knowledge of cryptographic algorithms, PKI, certificates, and authentication mechanisms.
Experience with firewalls, secure gateways, and network access control.
Familiarity with Wireshark, OpenSSL, GDB, and network debugging tools.
Strong understanding of secure software development lifecycle (SSDLC).
Experience with embedded or real-time communication systems is an added advantage.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's or master's degree from a Tier-1 engineering institute (IIT, NIT, IIIT, BITS Pilani, or equivalent).
Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CEH, CCNP Security, CCIE Security, or Security+ are preferred.
Experience in defence, telecom, networking, cybersecurity, or secure infrastructure projects is highly desirable.
