Role Description The Industrial Automation Engineer will work on-site in Kundapura in a full-time capacity, supporting the design, implementation, and maintenance of industrial automation systems. Day-to-day responsibilities include programming and configuring PLC, SCADA, and HMI systems, integrating control panels, and ensuring reliable communication between field devices and control systems. The role involves monitoring and optimizing process control parameters, diagnosing system issues, and performing troubleshooting to maintain smooth plant operations. The engineer will collaborate with project teams and clients to gather requirements, prepare technical documentation, support commissioning activities, and provide ongoing service and improvements to existing installations. The position requires close coordination with electrical and mechanical teams to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant automation solutions.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong skills in Automation and Process Control, with experience in PLC, SCADA, and HMI-based systems.
Candidates should possess solid Electrical Engineering knowledge, including control circuits, instrumentation, and industrial safety standards.
Candidates should possess proven Troubleshooting abilities for diagnosing and resolving issues in industrial control and automation systems.
Candidates should possess foundational skills in Robotics or advanced automation technologies, with exposure to integration in manufacturing environments.
Relevant bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or related engineering discipline.
Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, P&IDs, and technical documentation.
Hands-on experience with commissioning, field testing, and maintenance of industrial automation equipment is preferred.
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work safely in industrial settings.
Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and clients.
