Role Description The Senior Software Development Engineer will design, develop, and maintain backend services and platforms that power Kotak811’s mobile banking experience. This full-time, on-site role in Bengaluru involves architecting robust systems, writing high-quality, testable code, and optimizing performance and scalability. The role includes collaborating with product managers, designers, and other engineers to translate requirements into technical solutions, performing code reviews, and mentoring junior team members. The engineer will also troubleshoot production issues, improve reliability, and ensure adherence to security and compliance standards within the banking domain.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong foundational knowledge in Computer Science, including data structures, algorithms, and system design.
Candidates should possess skills in Back-End Web Development and Software Development, with experience building scalable, secure services and APIs.
Candidates should possess Programming and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) skills, with proficiency in one or more modern languages (such as Java, C#, Python, or Go).
Candidates should possess experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases, version control (e.g., Git), and CI/CD pipelines.
Relevant qualifications include a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, and several years of experience in designing and delivering production-grade systems.
Additional beneficial skills include familiarity with cloud platforms, microservices architecture, security best practices in financial services, and the ability to mentor and lead technical initiatives.
